RIA Menorca is a family business with 70 years of experience in the shoe industry. Bartolomé Truyol founded the company in 1947 which, over three different stages, has successfully consolidated its status as one the main abarca manufacturers on the island.
All RIA abarcas are handcrafted by our team of expert shoemakers, who pay the greatest attention to every detail and finish of the end product. However, we are also keen to stay on trend with the introduction of new techniques such as laser technology, digital printing or the use of all sorts of appliques and adornments, which allow us to create exciting new and bold models.
RIA Menorca makes abarcas for men, women and children, offering our customers a collection of over 200 models every season. We maintain our line of timeless RIA designs while also introducing new cutting-edge ones to keep right on trend. Our team of designers is constantly working to adapt abarcas to the most up to date footwear trends with regard to leather materials, colours and soles in order to achieve ultimate fashion collections.
We’re growing with every step we take, and are now present in more than 40 countries. Our distinctive artisan style has won over fans worldwide, with the brand making a great impression on catwalks in New York, Norway, Australia, Singapore and Japan. RIA just keeps on growing and leaving its mark everywhere. In Europe, RIA abarcas are sold in over multi-brand stores. In addition, RIA Menorca has several of its own stores in Spain and pop-up stores in shopping malls such as Takashimaya, Isetan and 112 Katong in Singapore.
Although our sales formula only took off a few years ago, RIA Menorca has every intention of expanding its presence in department stores all over the world.
